Hand-curved pieces
Manual wood bending involves controlled heating of the wooden piece to an appropriate temperature, followed by careful bending of the wood into the desired shape through the application of pressure and the correct direction. History
Over the course of more than 20 years of experience gained both at traditional factories like IMAR Arad and the Pâncota chair factory, as well as in our own workshop, we have traversed a path filled with lessons and challenges in the production of curved pieces for chairs, tables, and coat racks. This experience has allowed us to accumulate extensive knowledge in the art of processing curved wood, ensuring consistent quality and perfection in every piece we craft.
Method
We employ a meticulously crafted wood bending method, inspired by the innovation of Michael Thonet, involving steam bending and shaping. Flat pieces are precision-processed through automated bending technology, while multi-planar curved pieces are meticulously manually shaped on molds, ensuring consistent quality and a range of design options.
